Orem, Utah – April 2, 2007 – DoxTek, Inc. (www.doxtek.com) announced a definitive agreement to acquire a majority interest in DocuNet, LLC and merge DocuNet as a part of the DoxTek family. This merger has created one of the intermountain west’s largest document and information management solution providers.

According to DoxTek’s chief executive officer and president Michael Miles, the merger provides DoxTek’s customers with a more powerful set of solutions for capturing, managing, and retrieving business records.  Together, the two companies will meet a wider set of customer needs and have a significantly greater opportunity to provide customers a full suite of solutions—unique in the document imaging industry.

“This merger makes tremendous sense for the clients and employees of both companies,” said Miles. “It is a great opportunity for two successful organizations to combine operations and offerings, and focus on providing organizations along the Wasatch Front with a unique document and information management partner.”

Generally companies in the information and document industry specialize in niches. Through the acquisition of DocuNet, DoxTek believes it will become a one-stop-shop for Utah’s professional organizations and businesses.

Donnetta Mitchell, founder of DocuNet, remarks, “We are excited about the merger because it gives our clients access to DoxTek’s unique knowledge and experience in information management, and DoxTek’s customers will benefit from our document scanning expertise. It is definitely a winning situation for both of us.”

Moving forward, Michael Miles will continue as chief executive officer and president of DoxTek, Inc.  Scott Whittaker, Donnetta Mitchell, and Mary Rappleye, all founding members of DocuNet, LLC, will continue to provide leadership and direction as they serve on the management committee for the service bureau and scanning related services aspect of the company.

All DocuNet employees will retain their positions and will continue to work in the Salt Lake City office.
