Provo, Utah – June 26, 2003 – DoxTek, a Provo-based technology solution provider, is working with eFileCabinet, a software development company, to provide organizations with affordable software to store, search and retrieve documents electronically.
“The idea behind partnering with eFileCabinet is to provide a lower cost alternative to our clients who do not need the advanced functionality included in more expensive document management solutions,” said Brandon Groom, DoxTek’s chief technology officer.
After a document or form is converted into an image, usually through a document scanner, eFileCabinet organizes the image in a database based on a file/folder hierarchy.
To retrieve a specific image, such as a purchase order, an operator can search the entire database by the document’s full or partial name, or by manually moving through the folder system.
“Compared to other high-end management software,” said eFileCabinet’s president James Blaylock, “eFileCabinet provides functionality and easy-of-use without the high-costs.”
Other features include password protection, a collapsible folder sidebar, and the ability to print images as a PDF.
