Provo, Utah – March 24, 2003 – DoxTek is working with CPA firm Jack & Company to replace its current document storage and retrieval system with an electronic management solution to more efficiently manage client tax records.
“Instead of searching filing cabinets and boxes for last year’s client records, we now retrieve documentation more efficiently from our computers, saving time, which in-turn, saves us and our clients money,” said Gordon Jack, a principal with Jack & Company.
Jack & Company is using a document scanner and scanning software to convert paper tax records, such as W2 forms, into electronic images and management software to index and search scanned records.
“The system we implemented with Jack & Company is excellent for organizations looking for a better way to management their information,” said Brandon Groom, DoxTek vice president of technology. “Jack and Company now has the ability to do their job faster and more accurately.”
Jack & Company employees are now able to search for client recorders from a central repository, e-mail records to authorized entities, store records in a variety of media (i.e., CD-ROM, database, off-site server, conventional tape) and apply security measures to safeguard sensitive material.
