Salt Lake City, Utah – June 6, 2002 – Medical Group Insurance Services, Inc. (MGIS), a nationwide leader in insurance products and services, is partnering with DoxTek, Inc. a technology solution provider, to replace its paper forms with LiquidOffice, a digital forms management system produced by Cardiff Software Inc.
“By integrating LiquidOffice, we will be able to create an on-line forms setting that will meet the demands of both our customers and the insurance carriers we represent,” said Dan Brunken, chief technology officer of MGIS. “We feel an XML-based solution will not only make the forms process easier for our customers, it will allow us the flexibility necessary to keep up with the ever changing area of insurance administration.”
Leveraging existing systems, DoxTek will integrate a solution that will allow MGIS to design, publish and manage a variety of internal and external forms (i.e., direct deposit, enrollment and insurance claim forms) from a secure Web browser.
Authorized users and customers with access to the intelligent forms will have the ability to fill and submit the forms from a home or office computer.
Once submitted, the form can then be tracked, approved, resubmitted and stored without being printed.
“The technology we are implementing at MGIS will significantly decrease the time and expense associated with paper processes,” said Andrew Thompson, vice president of consulting at DoxTek. “Accessing, filling, routing, approving and storing forms will be as easy as sending an e-mail.”
MGIS will also use digital form features such as electronic signatures, data validation, attachment management and workflow capabilities.
